guess, lagu melayu apa yang aku dengar kat finnish tv programme malam tadi? nope, bukan Negaraku....lagu...kopi dangdut!!!! hahaha lawak gilaa..mula2 we didnt really focus on the cite sebab kita tengah buka puasa..sekali dengar lagu familiar gila..only the tune without the singing....aku ngan my husband looked at each other...'eh lagu apa eh ni???'...tiba2 dua2 cakap...'kopi dangdut!!!' lawak gila..rasa macam nak ketawa guling2..macam manalah lagu kopi dangdut tu boleh sampai ke finlandd and...cite tu tajuk dia apa entah, petra something..its about this one family went travel to several countries in europe and one of the stops was spain. in spain, the wife was learning a tango dance, masa tulah lagu kopi dangdut tu wujud..band tu main lagu tuguna trumpet...3 kali lagu tu keluar dalam cite tu...mat2 saleh tu pulak nampak enjoy gila menari ngan lagu tu..kalau lah kauorg tahu tajuk lagu tu kpi dangdut hehehehehe.....man, cant believe my ears.....kitaorg nak record ngan camera, tapi battery dah kong...tak ingat boleh guna camcorder...so lepas tu amik camcorder and ready depan tv kot2 lagu tu keluar lagi...sekali lepas tu dah takde sebab they moved to the next city, which was holland....aku tak tahulah original song sapa punya...tapi apa2 pun kelakar eh...hehehehheheheh

malam tadi cuba buta tumpi..the other night tu memang cancel....result? rasa ada, tapi texture takde....first trial, bende tu jadik macam lempeng kacang hijau instead of tumpi...so we add more water and kapur....yes, berjaya in term of it became thinner and crunchier but still tak sama macam di malaysia...tak tahu apa yang kurang sebab texturenya tak sama...takpelah, dapat juga mengubat rindu, tapi malulah nak hidang kat orang sebab takde rupa tumpi...tapi kalau kawan mat saleh boleh je, diaorg mana tahu kan how the actual tumpi looks like...tapi semalam memang kong habis...tired like crazy...kitaorg tunggu juga announcement bila raya..tapi x appear2...yang kelakarnya laki aku siap semayang terawikh dah,lepas tu dok menunggu esok raya ke tak...hehehehe....kalau esok raya sah2 takyah semayang terawikh dah malam tadi...org, tunggu pengumuman dulu baru semayang tarawikh heheheh...aku raya awal, sedih sangatlah sebab lain kan that feeling kalau u puasa last day tu dan masa buka puasa, u feel like, wow, dah raya..esok dah tak puasa....tapi since raya awal, i'll miss that feeling...

menjelang syawal

menjelang syawal..what have i done...minggu lepas, weekend sibuk buat kuih raya...bukanlah sibuk sangat tapi boleh tahanlah sampai aku tak tgk cite pun except for satu dua je...i was quite worried about kuih raya ni sebab tak pernah buat kuih raya sendiri..masa muda remaja dulu adalah tolong mak, tu pun tukang terap2 atau letak ceri, atau letak inti tat..yang part fun2..tapi make one from the sratch, never....telepon mak...dia pun bagi resepi...senang yang amat sangat because she thought i dont have a mixer...she knows me well enough pasal im not that fond pasal masak2 ni...tapi mak, guess what? i do have a mixer heheheh....mak bagi resepi kuih cornflake berkacang dan biskut mazola...no mixer required guys...gaul2 pakai senduk je...best2...

ibu mertua ku pula...kalau boleh satu buku resepi nak bagi ...'biskut arab kau nak?, biskut ni? tu?' heheheh...takpe ibu, nanti yang lain2 tu tunggu raya haji pulak..tak larat den....so amik resepi dari ibu kuih cornflake ceri, kuih redan (aka kuih bijan tu, ala yang bulat2 tu) dan tumpi kacang hijau, and wajik (ni laki aku suka sangat)....tengok resepi2 tu, aku dah berpinar..banyak nya pakai margerine, gula, telur, santan...takpelah sekali sekala (self consolation).....lagipun nak jamu orang...

so malam jemaat operasi bermula dengan kuih cornflake berkacang...first batch, rentung....lepas tu adjust temp and baking time..2 jam gitu siap....esoknya buat kuih redan...kuih bijan tu...nak buat senang, nak goreng ayooo....lamaa...slow api...kita org ni mana sabar. dah biasa buat keje cepat...so cuba memandai pasang api kuat..amik kau meletup2 kuih tu, ada sebijik tu commit suicide, jump out from the frying pan...again, first batch, tak jadik...

esoknya sunday, lepas sahur buat kuih cornflake ceri..then sambung biskut mazola....by 12 something rasanya semua siap...ALhamdulillah syukur...cukuplah, nak patah pinggang aku....thanx a zillion to my hubby kerana sama2 membantu especially jaga oven.....

hari ni buat groceies utk raya...cadangnya malam ni lepas tarawikh nak buat tumpi....tapi laki aku tumpas di medan perang...tertido dia ..ni tgk tunggu dia..kot dia bangun kang bolehlah..lagipun awal lagi, it just 9 pm....call mak tadi..kalau tak setengah jam tak sah..ada je bende nak cite...sedangkan baru minggu lepas call...what to do...cerekarama raya toksah cakaplah..best2 rupanya..my fav so far, tain (best gilaaaaaaaaaaa esp sheila russlyyy) dan qanaah...best222

ok lah nak tgk duaaa hati sebelum buat tumpi (if and only if my hubby bangun..kalau dia tido sampai sahur, kirim salam jelah kat tumpi tu)

value your self by being smart

i dont know why out out of sudden, i was thrilled to talk about this. i think one of the reasons is after watching this nick and jessicaa reality show last weekend. tu cite lama, in fact they've divorced now..good for you nick! people always relate dumbness with being blondy. i thought that was unfair. being a smart *** or a dumb got nothing to do with your hair color....kalau tak, how you define women who change their hair color as frequent as taking a shower? personally, i think its all depend on how you bring and present yourself....you dont have to pretend to be smart or consious wether you look like one or not...its natural, something that you cant put on your face...

tapi there were few incidents that coincidentally (i just want to express out my opinions, excuse my spelling and grammar, they have gone all the way back to queeen elizabethss home land) relate the dumbness with blond girls...yang cite nick and jessicass tu for instance, jessica salah dengar nama restaurant tu, dia tanya 'anal seafood?'...nick jeling gila kat minah tu, dia kata, who on earth nak namakan restaurant dia ngan nama macam tu...its actually oriental seafood....hahaha aku ketawa gila, itu baru small incidents...banyak lagi dalam cite tu yang tunjukkan how nick was so unfortunate to have jess as her partnet to share his life with...nick from that citelah, seems like a really wise guy (being wise doent mean you have to get straight As in shool or get full marks in your SAT exam or etc), no wonder pink chose jes to be one of the girl she made fun with in her new video clip of stupidd girl...the other 2 'lucky' girls selected by pinkk were paris hiltonn (ni obviously terserlah ke hehehe nya tu, sesuai sangatlah) and lindsay lohan...i admit that i like lindsay's acting. but not her in real person...

thats true, its quite difficult to list a smart (smart means real smart: educated, being to college etc) actress compared to actors...this was discussed in oprah. balik2 kalau list smart actress ni, sapa lagi kalau tak - reese whiterspoonn, natalie portmaan...limited betul listnya...sebenanya ramai lagi tapi yang ni yang selalu diperkatakan...

its good to be smart, dalam Islam pun darjat orang berilmu lebih tinggi dari yang tidak...kenapa? orang berilmu ni banyak bende dia boleh contribute to society, tahu whats right and wrong, dari segi ibadah pun org berilmu ni better sebab dia tahu how to beibadah ngan betul semua..thats important, sebab tu Islam pentingkan ilmu...semua ilmu tu ilmu Allah...as long as kita niat nak cari ilmu kerana Allah untuk kebaikan, InsyaAllah diberkati...

lagipun ilmu ni luas, its not about what contained in your text books only..its more than that, and you can always apply what you have learned in your daialy life...macam tadi masa aku vacuum rumah, my son was close to me...tiba2 terpikir, punyalah kuta bunyi vacuum ni, bape decibel? lagilah, for small kid, their exposure level is lower....kalau kerap sangat exposed to this noise level, bahaya gak ni...i remember how my fav professor kat malaysia (she's a genius) ajar anak2 dia....dia kata to her yougest daughter who was only 2 years I guess masa tu, 'kena makan carrot ni, its good for your eyes, it has beta carotene'...and the next time she wanted carrot, she said 'nak beta-carotene'...heheh impressive...aku rasa aku dengar perkataan tu masa dah berbelas2 tahun..tu pun dari iklan minyak masak kat tv aku rasa...well, yg penting kita tahu...

to conclude this, nasihat utk diri aku sendiri especiallynya: read more, no matter what, as long as it is informative and useful...tapi aku memang suka membaca, dalam bus, tengah buat keje, kalau bende tu tak perlu guna mata, aku sambil tu baca..in term of minat, memang dah ok aku rasa....cuma i need to improve on what i read...hehehehe....

the seasons are back!

its already autumn...its getting dark earlier...its amazing for to experience such an extreme seasons and weather changes since i came to finland...i was in UK for a year, that means i went through all the 4 seasons in UK, but the experience was not the same...kat sini, very extreme...at one time, you have sunshine almost 24 hours a day, even at 11.30 at night...and at one time, you see nothing but dark the whole day...at one time, u can be in the office for 8 hours and tak perlu sembahyang apa2 di office until u get home, and at one time, u need to perform subuh, zuhur, asar, mahgrib di pejabat or else, waktu sembahyang dah habis...very extreme, and i'm glad i got a chance to experience this dan melihat kebesaran Allah SWT...

kedatangan autumn juga menandakan, all the tv series start their new season...among others of course, the best Pakoo (prison break in finland), my gilamore, the top model, top chef, survivorr, amazg race, what else? well, u name it, u got it...on top of that, few of new tv series, which worsen my addiction to tv...new fav one, of course, heroesss...best gilaaa...bila tgk, i always ask this question to hubby, 'familiar lah muka mamat ni, familiar lah muka minah ni, dari cite mana eh?'....especially the guy thay in the cite kononnya he can fly..serious, i think he's jazz from gilamore...and that woman with the genius kid, she looks so familiar (not that I've met her in pasar malam or whatever)....kalau lah mamat tu jazz, bestnyaaaaaa....or maybe he's not but he really looks like one, so who cares....tu yang buat cite heroes tu lagi best...(yeap, for me who's act and who's not in a drama ke movie do have an impact on making me interested to watch the drama/movie...another new series for me, the famous grey anatomiannn (thats in finnish, funny huh)..dah season 3, and i've never watched the previous 2 seasons...again, who cares...now i'm watching the 1st season in tv kat sini and download the latest season..

sepanjang minggu, menu biasa2 aje....dessert for the rest of the week, ada kasuwi, and cheese cake, thanks to hubby for making one for my birthday...semalam we made bluberry muffins...but they turned out like cup cakes instead of muffins...the second batch baru ada rupa muffins...tak tahulah whats the contributing factor? is it the time delay for the second batch tu kena went through before they were put in the oven? i dont know, i dont study food technologies or food science or etc...but one thing i know for sure, i just love food...
