school memories 1

hari ni there's sunshine,since morning sampai sekarang, it's almost 3.30 pm. is this a sign that winter is gonna end soon??? haa bestnya Ya Allah..lihatlah dunia..tak kiralah apa pun, asal tukar season pun jadiklah, it's good enough..it's sunday, rasanya hari ni last day of winter olympic...sekarang tengah tunjuk final game of ice hockey, finland vs sweeden...surprisingly, rory gilamore dan lost pun takde minggu ni...ada kena mengena dengan olympic ke? takpe minggu depan mesti ada balik...

looking over the window (bukan nampak apa pun, nampak all the trees je), tiba-tiba terasa, jauh dah journey of life...walaupun takdelah anything extreme, or any controversion happened sepanjang hidup ni (yelah, aku bukan artis fofular ke apa pun), but still...there are a lot of meaningful things happened to me...both bad and good things...

talking about life, i think, if i'm not mistaken, i spent more than 3/4 of my life studying...dari tadika kemas tak kemasnya, ke primary and secondary schools, to Us...and now, here i am, dah beranak pun, masih tengah study..but it's ok...belajar ni sampai mati pun masih kena buat kan, cuma formally or informally je...

memories about schools??? hmm...fun, seronok,especially masa sekolah rendah...best gila...i went to 2 different schools masa sekolah rendah..satu tu kat rompin, sebab my father was posted to rompin...we were there for almost a year before we went back to our former school, the convent school (we: me and my sis). sekolah rompin tu, ok, takde memory sangat sebab sekejap sangat kat sana. cuma one thing yang i still can recall about that school was when i was elected as prefect. lepas election, ustazah panggil...dia kata, nanti masa nak tempah baju prefect, buat baju kurung ye...'ok boleh' i simply replied. tak tahulah masa tu sebab excited sangat jadi prefect ke atau apasal (taklah best pun jadi prefect except for dapat pakai baju lain dari biasa). next term, lepas bukak sekolah ustazah panggil, 'kenapa tak buat baju kurung?' i honestly answered 'tersalah beli kain, minta kat cina kedai tu kain nak buat skirt, lupa masa tu, jadi kain tak cukup, so buat skirt jelah'..selamba je aku jawab. but that was an honest one from me..memang masa tu terlupa langsung nak kena buat baju kurung...tapi ustazah tu baik, baikk gilaa, sebab dia sporting and very dedicative.

kat sekolah convent, ok je..mula2 masuk kelas corot..waaa..kelas no 3 out of 4...hampir kelas last lah tu...tahun depannya lepas final exam, dapat masuk kelas no 1..yuhuu...dalam kelas tu semua (majority..85%) semua anak orang kaya...with 3-4 are anak datuk/dato'.. sama je aku tengok routine hidup diaorg ni..semua amik piona class and swimming class. kaya tak kayanya, cuti sekolah je pi zurich lah tokyo lah dubai lah..aku masa tu, zurich pun tak pernah dengar..ostrich tahulah...barang2 sekolah toksah cakaplah..bekas pensel tu, macam2 jenis..picit butang ni keluar compartment ni..macam inspector gadget punya..kaler pensel pulak sebesar-besar desk tu...tapi diaorg ni baik.....dulu sebelum kenal ingatkan kerek2...rupanya they are so nice... baik gila2..asyik teponn je..sampai boring ayah aku..hehe..diaorg ni generous (i mean parents diaorglah)..sekolah tu takde masalah, asal minta derma ke sumbangan ke, banyak je masuk...ingat sekali tu budak darjah 5 ( i was in standard 6 masa tu)..ingat lagi, cikgu panggil diake staff room sebab bapak dia derma rm 20 000.....kalau buat class party (hujung tahun kan), setiap org kena assgined kena bawak food apa..macam potluck gitu....ingat lagi sorang anak dato' tu...baik..macam lurus2 gitu..lawa, macam muka ala2 mat saleh..pan asian kot...tugas dia: bawak sauces (chillie and tomato) sebab we goona had bbq malam tu...sekali dia pi bawak berkotak2..bukan berbotol2...berkotak2...dia beli yang satu kotak ada sedozen botol tu...lepas tu bawak more than 1 box pulak..botol besar pulak tu...aku nak ketawa betul...yang luaknya bape botol je..lepas tu dia kata ngan cikgu, takpelah dia pun malas nak bawak balik botol2 sos tu...so cikgu suruh semua org bawak balik sebotol dua...nice memories....anyway, finland and sweeden now tie: 2-2...nak masuk third apa eh diaorg panggil third cycle? third half? third whatever...so will continue about sekolah2 lain later...

hockey

yuhuu!!! first time tengok ice hockey game betul2 from the beginning to the end..it was finland against US...thrilled game...finland beats US 4-3 with US scored at very last minute of the game..panic pemain2 finland tu...lawak aku tengok...barulah paham sikit2 rules of the game..lagi satu best tengok curling...walaupun kelakor je rasa game tu tapi seronok tengok...today, china won their first gold medal...japan pun dah menang gold medal..game apa tu...ice skateing apa entah..ala2 gimrama gitu kalau olympic biasa punya game...tonite everybody is excited..dahlah friday night, ada hockey game lagi..semi final...finland against russia...so far finland belum kalah lagi...tapi game with russia ni is gonna be fight (according to my hubby, aku nganguk jelah, tak tahu apa2 kan)...sweeden pun hebat bergaya, with all the great players..diaorg kata sweeden ni trend dia, they like to score a few minutes before the game end..husband cakap petang tadi..'confuse ni, nanti finland against sweeden, tak tahu nak sokong sapa, dua2 suka'...mula2 ingatkan sebab sweeden is our 'next-door' country..rupanya sebab sweeden ramai pemain red wings fav dia...aku no komen aaaa...kawan kat sini pun dah bagitau stadium hockey kat sini kat mana...dekat je..murah pulak tu...affordable lah..yang dekat helsinki tu mahal sikit sebab stadium dia gempak lagi and in fact, it's a multi purpose stadium. recently they had this disney on ice punya show in that stadium...tengoklah nanti summer kot2 terasa nak pegi...one thing for sure, aku rasa hubby aku sah nak pi punya, so we'll see...

its been a long weekdays. mcm2 berlaku...weekend ni anugerah bintg fofular...tp sunday...klu saturday kan best, boleh tgk pagi sunday tu...american idol pun dah masuk selection stage for the top 12. so far my comment is, the ladies contestants are not that great, except for a few...men,tak tahu lagi, tak sempat tengok lagi..amazing race new season starts next week...yippieeeee!!!!...lapar pulak rasa, tadi had dinner at 5 pm...yelah, dinner is synonym with malam..malam synonym with dark...so dulu, masa time pukul 3 dah gelap, pukul 3 lah kami dinner especially during weekend...so later, bila maghrib masuk pukul 10 malam lebih..time tu pukul bapelah aku dinner agaknya eh...

ok nak pi selongkar cabinet, craving for any edible things sambil nonton2 malam sabtu..laki aku dah senyap dah tu depan tv, game dah start...

Olympic fever

now it's the winter olympic season. since malaysia does not send any team to the game (duhhh, sah2 takde), we are supporting the finland team...i don't really follow the whole game, none of the game really of my interest. kalau olympic biasa tu best aaa, tengok gimrama, swimming, lari2 pecut, badminton...ni game tah apa2...pelik2....skiing marathon sambil menembak lah, lawak2 gamenya...and i've never seen most of the games. before, the only winter games that i knew are, skiing, roller skating berirama (yang michelle kwan tu), ice hockey...tu je...but my husband, sakan habis...being a sport lover, this winter olympic is not an exceptional for him. siang malam tengok olympic..boring aku hhehheh...ice hockey lagilah, laki pompuan punya game semua tengok...he said russian, finland, sweeden are among the strong teams, with several of the players are the NHL players...lepas tu bersemangat gila tengok siap sorak2....boringnya aku...waaaa, bilalah bende ni nak habis...kat department pun sama, tiba2 out of nowhere, ada tv tercongok kat coffee room. tak tahu sapa bawak...channel lain is not allowable except for the olympic channel tu...and kat sini, kalau ada lah athlete finland yang menang, tak kiralah pingat apa pun, promotions dia like h***....they really supporting and proud of their athlete..habis je game, belum tahu keputusan, dah sakan dah interview athlete tu..kalau dapat pingat (macam baru ni, Miko, he won a bronze for free-style skiing game), toksah cakaplah...aku tengok dia punya happiness and publicity mengalahkan mamat yang menang gold medal. and talking about the gold medal for that game, he is an australian...australia ada salji ke...?? hmm...

next week is a one-week break, they call it 'skiing holiday'...tapi tak compulsory, for those who are interested only, they are allow to take 1 whole week off next week. i did ask my friend, when is the 'official' break time kat sini, for people to go for holiday or whatsoever. she said, its between july to august...hmm, camne eh...need to reanalyse a few things then...

talking about biskut ping pong, oh man...how i miss the biskut, more then drooling over kfc etc...so we did found almost a similar biscuit here in the market, but biskut ping pong is much more umphh...it already 8, better take a breakfast now,lepas ni nak mencilok tengok that highly new promoted movie by afdlin...have been waiting for the movie for ages..at lasttt....tapi tak tahulah, some of the comments kata it's been over promoted and over rated...it is surprising to hear that because all this while, since the movie has been released, what i heard is all the good things of that movie..i have a positive first impression on the movie..so we'll see....

mama bosan

i attended the weekly class on thursday, together with the exchange students. we had quite a long in class exercise this time. the class became noisy, everybody's discussing about the exercises and walking around the class to compare their answers with the other students...we had more students than the available licensed-computer in the lab. so apparently, some of us need to share the computer. masanoee, the only japanese student in the class joined me during the exercise since she was a bit late, and all the computers had been occupied. she's very bright, and we are together, we always talking about other things besides the class materials. one of the indonesian students came to my desk to compare his answer with mine. we were talking malay-indonesian languange until he realized masanoee was sitting beside me. 'can u speak indonesian?' he asked. i interrupted, 'no, she's a japanese'...'konichiwa!!!' spontaneously that word came out from his mouth...hehhe, funny...semua bahasa boleh mamat tu...and he can speak german fluently too...he is a bigggg,i mean, hugeee fan of kris dayantiii...sikit2 kris dayanti...'awak kena rossa?'...i asked him, knowing the answer would be absolutely YES. 'rossa? ngak...sapa itu? tapi mama rossa aku kenal'...surprisingly he doesnt know rossa. i thought she's quite famous in indonesia...yeah, but cant really blame him. he's not been in indonesia for quite some time...'sapa mama rossa?' i asked him again, thinking it might be somebody well-known in indonesia..ala2 ibu mooryati gitu..sapa mama rossa? mama bosan aku tahulah...'ibu mertua kakakku' he replied....Ya Allah, perlu ke???? apa kepentingannya dengan hidupku??? sabor jelah....

its saturday....sekejap je rasa, dah seminggu...what's the plan? nothing...been thinking about malaysia quite alot these past few days...checked out for the flight ticket last week. and the price was verryyy reasonable,compared to the other prices. takut salah pulak kang. better call or email them first before making any reservation to avoid misunderstanding or apa2. lagipun, there's alot of things need to be confirmed before getting ourselves the tickets...dates, itu ini...so nanti2lah..lagipun,laaammbat lagi nak baliknya..so, why need to rush?

AJL 20

AJL 20 was great...the results are ok. ok means not to the level that i expected. biasalah, apa2 pertandingan pun, ada je yang kita tak puas hati...yelah,its different when we look at it from a fan point of view, compared to the juries that have their professional judgment. hmm, bila yek the last time i was really happy and satisfied with all the AJL results??? (my personal preference)...dah lama rasanya, sejak zaman amy search isabella menang....dah lama.....and cindai, aku cinta pada mu from ct...spider pun best....yang i kind of bukanlah tak suka, tapi tak puas hati sangat yang menang juara keseluruhan AJL ni masa zaman sapa yek..hmmm, yassin...ajai n nurul...sorry, no offense...hehehe

read the comments in the discussion board last nite. they were hillarious!!! made me cant wait to watch the AJL especially the red carpet...hehehe....today, i take a day off, just to watch the JL. thanx to the n**** for the good job. laju seh download ALhamdulillah...what i like most in the competition??? i must say the MCs....especially my dearest markonah...she was absolutely fantastic, lawaknya pun selamba, tak ikut skrip...cayalah kak amy!!! i love u!!! i like the opening show too, as well as the juries...glamorous juries..perlu ke???

in term of performance, i loved zainal (why he should sound so gooodd singing live!!!), azharina (cantikkk, gaya eye shadow dia macam britney), kak mimi and personally the best for me was....ning!!! naik goosebump mendengar dia nyanyi....bestnyaaaa, and i think the audience loved her too last nite...

banyak lagi bende2 tiny miny to be talked about the AJL...the gossips, the reviews, personal comments etc....so i'm waiting for my one and only associate, that are specialised in the entertainment industries, both local and international...we are so good and knowledgable (ceh perasan) about all these stuffs, that we think we can sweep away the juara pop kuiz title anytime mann....

kalaulah, kalauulah ada exam tentang all these stuffs, sah2 i request for the exam each week, sebab takyah study pun, sentiasa eveready....cuma kena selak board sikit2 je untuk 'mengkayakan' lagi pengetahuan dengan latest news hihihi....habislah, buku untuk peksa tak habis baca lagi..ok insap.....better off now...

dah buat dah perangai lama....ponteng menulis...heheh, what to do...to update the blog everyday seems impossible to me...kadang2 there's nothing to write, so what's the purpose of updating if there's nothing to tell...so i guess, i need to revisit my resolution, at least once in 3 days, that sounds more feasible...

yesterday, as usual, i had to leave early sebab suami nak pi solat jumaat. teringin pulakkk nak makan rojak semalam. so buat simplified version of rojak ayub semalam....waaa, how i miss rojak ayub and aliffff!!! tengah duduk2, teringat pulak seri menanti. i dont understand why i should i torture myself by imagining about all those great food in skudaii. ok, nanti balik malaysia cuti, i dont care, i want to make one-day visit to skudai, just to treat my self with all the great food in seri menanti, zorro, pasar malam TUU, and apa nama restoran tu??? yang cik kieli introduced tu, yang mee tomyam dia sedap bangat, ada udang besar semua...apa nama tempat tu??mayday2!!

tomorrow is the day!!! yang ditunggu2 sekian lama. juara laguuu...yuhhuuu...i dont know what to predict, and i dont want to...i dont have any fav singer in JL this year that I really support for..i really want esah to win, but she couldnt even make it to the final...hmm who's left...haa ning!! i love the song...hopefully she can sing it well tomorrow nite... u go girl!!! but i think, it is predictable who's gonna bolot all the anugerah...

survivor new season just started. apprentice habis, survivor starts. satu, satu, tak habis2...yelah, its a part time activity that you can do here to enjoy your self after working your a** out during the day...mesti orang heran, tak penat ke asyik tengok tv??? hmm, the answer is nope! my fav activities for leisure; tengok tv (apa2lah, vcd ke, movie ke, yang sewaktu dengannya), try out new receipe, browse thru internetto read latest hot news about the local entertainment industries, reading story books and mags....thats for leisure and relaxing my self purpose....kalau kat malaysia lainlah, hobbynya, shopping, window shoppping, shopping lagi..balik2 itulah....so basically, my main leisure time xtvts have got something to do with entertainment things...ok apa...come to think of it, i've so much from this activities. antaranya, i've met several c-club seven members through these activities. cik kieli: masa negok tv kat ruang tamu blok, usagi: masa beratur nak make phone call, maksu wa: masa tengok video clip boyzonee kat depan dewan utama kolej, prudence: hmmm...masa nak beli kuih raya??? rasanya ye...the other 2 members were my coursemates and roomates for the whole 3 years of my studies...tapi pun gila2 jugak, time masa lapang je tengok vcd, kalau tak, kumpul semua members of the club, playing cards (legal eh, bukan yang pelik2)...sambil makan biskut dan air teh (i'm the tea lady for the club and cik kieli is the regular host especially during the final year since she has the room all by herself most of the time)...the best time, when we went for a dinner in lido (sapa belanja eh, and because of what reason?), and after the dinner we were strolling along the busy road (bukan beach ye kawan2) until the next bus stop..jaug gak, and everytime i passed the road now, i just cant believe myself, how did we managed to walk such a long distance, along the busiest and dangerous road in the middle of the nite?? what was i, all of us, thinking???? hehehe, funny, crazzy..

really miss my c-club friends now...ok, guys, lets make a reunion plan this year. and make sure we'll make it happen. all the 7 of us, we meet somewhere this year in october since me and cik kieli will be in malaysia that time....ok2 who wants to be the event planner??? serious ok, sapa ponteng, will be penalised...any support for the suggestion guys??? cuti2 malaysia lah, dekat sikit....penang ke..kalau tak boleh, kl....kalau susah sangat, restoran seri menanti je...what do you say???

no for heroin

i had a 4-hour class this afternoon. a class with this group of exchange students. this is their third place of studies, after spending about 3 months in netherlands and 3 months in UK. interesting program, why on earth i didnt have this kind of opportunity during my undergrad (duhh!!)...there are 2 indoneeesian students in the group. i sat beside one of them in the class today. it feels soooo good inside when u have somebody (besides your husband) to talk about kris dayantiee, ct nurhalizee, dian sastrow, dewa (aku tak mengerti apa yang kurasaaa...) and etc...

today it was snowing heavily. Alhamdulillah, i manage to cope with that; no headache etc except for pedih bila snow masuk mata. its kind of weird, when i am exposed to rain, i get headache rite away, but not with snow. snow and rain is actually the same things i guess, it just that, at colder temperature, the rain solidify becoming snow flakes. yelah, i dont remember my mom telling me 'jangan main snow, nanti pening, demam'. so i guess, this rain-pening thing is some sort of psychology thing sebenarnya...its all on your mind...(fav quote when we were in japan)

cant wait for march to come. first, winter is going to end by that time. second, prison breakk season 2 will start. i am a big fan of that series now. i think i love this series more than lost. that's kind of big since before this, lost is no 1 for me. lately, lost is not that catchy for me especially in the last 2 episodes where jack seems pretty close with anna. i dont like anna, and i dont fancy kate either (girl of everybody's favourite)...the only actress in the series that i like is shanon, but she died in the early episode of this season. prison breakk is better since there is almost no actress in the series except for the doctor and the lawyer. and it happens that i dont really like them too...hehehe, biasa lah tengok cite2 macam ni, tak suka heroin,suka heronya je...the only series that i like the pelakon pompuan more than the lelaki is gilmore. i like prison breakk so much because of the suspend plot and the watak2 in the series. yelah, prisoners, macam2 gaya, and some parts of the series are very funny too. one of the favourite part is when one of the prisoner falsely pronouncing hooke's law (that spring thing) with hooke*'s law (replace the * with r)...hehehee, i found that very funny since i've learned about the law in my physic subject.

tadi masa boring2, browse thru the advertisement on the right side of my diary. found an interesting ads about 1) equatorial hotel in cameron highlands....lawa seeehh, tak pernah lagi bermalam kat cameron highland...i guess my friends,lepas ni kita cuti2 malaysia lah pulak,dah lama tak cuti2 malaysia....2) an ad about hotels in europe...murah2, 40 euro, 30 euro per night in namely london, paris, vienna etc....biar benar??? its so cheap considering they are talking about the 'true' hotel, not motel or youth hostel or other type of 'tel'. yelah, masa pi paris dulu, duduk motel yang ala2 macam boleh kena serbu dengan skuad 999 pun dah dekat 40 euro....ok we'll see, i'm gonna check the ad after this...

ok nak tengok malaysia most boutiffoolll...yeap, i am!!! hehe, i cant believe myself either heheh

Selamat Menyambut Awal Muharam

hiya!!! i haven't updated this diary since november 2005. reasons: busy (konon je tu), no idea what to jot down and inspired by the silence made by my two favourite diaries of cik kieli's and prudence's. now, they are back and i am also back in action, with a new year resolution. Selamat Tahun Baru Awal Muharam to all. this year resolution particularly regarding this diary: try to update every day (cewaahh, angan2 besar) and no more ponteng...

whats' new? nothing really, accept for a hmmmm...we celebrated raya haji alone (in fact no celebration on the day itself since i have an exam that day, silly me, i picked the date myself since i forgot about the raya haji), i slipped on the road on the way to school, it was so painful that i thought i broke my elbow, the weather is extremely cold, it reached -23 deg C, plus the wind effect, it was estimated that we might feel as we are exposed to -30 deg C (even the fridge is a lot more warmer)...despite of all the pathetic things happened to me since last november, i had several enjoyable experiences too: christmas sale was a blast with me spending like a maniac because i falsely assumed Euro as the same value as Ringgit Malaysia..30 euro, murah2, macam 30 ringgit aa tu..(banyak aaaahh), class is great this term with the participation of a group of exchange students who are really hyperactive, and the best thing is, my husband successfully prepared homemade KFC, and it tasted superb and so reall....so last saturday, we treated ourselves with KFC (original flavour), mashed potato, french fries and coleslaw...

last month, i went to the bank to apply for a credit card but the result was negative. sedihhh, kat malaysia, orang datang ke pejabat suruh sign up macam,2 kredit card, kat sini pi apply pun tak dapat. the regulation is quite strict here, for a student, we need to be here at least 11/2 years to be granted a credit card. alaa, janganlah strict sangat, bukan nak bawak lari pun, bagi student credit card pun jadiklah (ada ke??)...Alhamdulillah, last monday, managed to submit one task, last minute babe...hampeh betul...ehehhe, everyday before submitting the task, i was reading about this asbestos lung cancer, respiratory tract irritation, narcosis, asphyxiants...kadang2 aku heran, aku ni buat chem eng ke medic??? hehe

its almost 12 noon. need to do some reading. target to sit for an exam next week (if i manage to khatam this book by next week)...so better off now...
