'saturday nite' fever

it started snowing last wednesday, here in espoo. and the first day of snow in this place really freaked me out. mana taknya, the day before, everything was still perfectly green and warm. suddenly this morning, when i opened the door, everything's turn out white...snow tebal, sampai buku lali. turun mencurah2 (how to describe snow turun banyak and lebatnya??)...habis basuh kasuttt...and it was very windy and cold and dark and coldd.....

first day of snow, the road was impressively empty, no of cars on the were greatly reduced. where are these people going? is it announced as public holiday for the first day of snowing in here? rupa2nya semuanya pakat naik bas. sampai sesak padat bas. mostly unfamiliar faces. boleh dikatakan, after alsmot 2 months here, i know most of the 'familiar faces' that are in the bus with me every morning. there are this, mariah carey-look alike girl, this mak datin-every day dressed so well and smells so good-lady, this good looking-specky-with spiky hair guy, this bunch of high school ladies who seem to have fun and enjoy their ride to school every single morning and ramai lagi...

pagi tu lepas sampai department, turned on the computer, read a few emails and then left to the health service center. it was so cold and the wind...can make not only your umbrella but also your head flying off. the doctor was very nice and we had some chit chat instead of medication conversation. at 4, i went to sello to grab some things. and that 'some' means a lot. milk, bread, biscuits, apples, fish fingers bla blaa..i was waiting for the bus to go back when i realized waktu berbuka dah masuk...waa sedih2...dahlah takde bekal apa2. balik rumah, meredah snow, angkut barang berat...and dengan sneeze yang tak berenti, that were really challenging...

malam tu, dah rasa lain macam...i can always sense when i was about to have flu and fever...badan panas lain macam, hidung berair tak berenti and kepala pening...malam tu tido awal, and the next morning i was very weak and i decided not to go to the department today. wait a minute, baik pi kejap, amik barang2 then balik. esok pun maybe kena take a break. so cik talam di rumah on thursday and friday. by friday, i was getting better but my left eye turned out red and a bit swollen (bukan macam maya karin pontianak tu eh)...janganlah infection...takut jugak, but i guess, that caused by my high temperature body the day before sampai mata kiri tu asyik keluarkan teardrop...Alhamdulillah by saturday cik talam was fully recovered...Alhamdulillah sangat. di saat2 tu barulah sedar how precious being healthy is. masa sihat, langsung tak appreciate, bak kata miss prudence, after being operated on the knee she realised how 'berjasa' her leg was to her all this while..yelah kita ni manusia, selagi tak ditarik sesuatu nikmat tu, lambat nak realize dan bersyukur...selama ni i take my health issue for granted, now i realize how important being in a good shape is.

sabtu tu cuaca panas, ada matahari...Alhamdulillah seronoknyaaaa...so we went to helsinki. went to kedai ling (malaysian big grocery store). got ourselves beras pulut, rambutan stuffed with pineapple in can (teringat masa budak2), beras pulut hitam (utk dibuat bubur), tepung pulut, serai, lengkuas dan halia...ling's daughter who took care of the cash machine that day menyapa 'minggu depan dah nak raya eh?' heheh pandai pulak amoi ni...

balik tu, as usual, me and hubby ran regular weekend cooking experiment. today's menu: apam. bukan apam balik tapi apam..kuih apam tu yang gebu2 tu...Alhamdulillah hehe jadik, sungguh tak disangka. taklah naik senaik2nya macam kat kedai tu sebab kami takde proper steamer, tapi..jadiklah, especially rasanya...oklah lepas ni cuba kuih lain pulak, biasalah, lepas jadik buat satu bende, 10 tahun akan datang baru buat balik kuih tu, as for now, cuba resepi2 lain dulu.

today, its already tuesday. tonite will be announced (in the internet, there's no penyimpan mohor2 besar here) whether hari raya puasa will be tomorrow or the day after. most people predicted it will be tomorrow. as for me, dua2 pun ok. deep down i prefer it to be on the thursday, kalau wednesday, nak cuti lagi esok...mana2 pun bestlah, asalkan rayaa!!! yay yay!!!

ok nak siapkan keje apa yang patut...
