merdeka!

to all malaysians, no matter where you are, selamat menyabut hari kemerdekaan. nothing much, it just that i think i have a strong patriotism spirit inside of me. despite being gila2 and terkinja2, i love my country so much. i always feel very proud to admit that i am malaysian. especially when u are in overseas, people ask you, 'and u are from..?' 'malaysia!' i replied sepantas kilat. even when i presented a paper in a conference last may, siap bagitau im from malaysia walaupun org tak tanya pun...tak kira, nak bagitau jugak...and the best thing is, so far, takde org tak tahu about malaysia. u dont have to describe malaysia as being in the north part of singapore and south part of thailand anymore. they know malaysia and normally, they gave me good impressions when i mentioned about malaysia. maybe sebab ada this reality show yang sama macam survivor but finnish punya baru2 ni buat kat malaysia. and i think because of the tv program juga, finnair launches a new route to kuala lumpur starting april next year...

lagi satu, talking about merdeka, please janganlah lagi ada this kind of people yang love to compare (bias comparison) malaysia dengan the country they used to visit or stay or whatever. 'nilah malaysia, bla bla bla..kalau kat toot, bagus je service dia bla bla'...i have to admit im not an angel. i do complain sometimes, memang certain things ada truthnya expecially in customer services and transportation aspects. and i hate myself for doing that. so kalau betul2 rasa tak puas hati, just keep it to myself or to yourselves, instead of blur it out to other people. menyampah nak dengar, sebab kadang2 we are too fool to realize that negara yang dipuja2 tu dah hundredth years earlier than malaysia. i believe that orang yang look down at his/her own country or nation is orang yang tak civilized.

on happy notes: orang malaysia hari ni cuti..bestnya..i'm sure penuh shopping mall. selalunya ada merdeka sale kan. as for me here, today is just like any regular day, cuma dah starts sejuk since now its already autumn. haa the best thing hari ni, ada jamuan merdeka kat rumah ambassadorr. tu yang best. can't wait...
